Torque is a physics simulation model dealing with rotation movement. It consists of four simulation modes. They all illustrate different concepts, but use the same simulation. They all feature a disc that can be dragged left or right. When you drag the disc, it will start rotating. The disc is painted on the top separating various segments, which are painted in different colors. Also, there are two bugs that you can drag on top of the disc. When you add a bug to the disc and rotate the disc, from the bug will come two lines that show the acceleration and the velocity of the bug. So, if you move the bug closer to or farther from the center, you will observe different velocities and accelerations.
The modes available are Intro, Torque, Moments of Inertia, and Angular momentum. The last three of those are very technical and they all feature a few graphs that show information in real time. In almost all the modes, you can modify the size of the disc. This simulation illustrates the concepts of rotation, inertia, angular momentum, torque, speed, and acceleration, etc.
